I decided this morning that, that was no longer ok. I've never been a fan of sugar coating. So I don't see why I held my poetry to a different standard than the life I live. So I made this decision:
I have decided to register my blog "The Lyricist" as a page that displays adult content. So a warning will be displayed before entering the site. Just click the orange button on the left and be on your way. Since some of the material I've began writing does cross the line into adult ideas and content, I felt it only responsible to label it as such.
What this does NOT mean:
This does NOT mean that every other word is going to be the f‐bomb.
This does NOT mean that I will display, nor describe, pornographic material.
While sex, drugs, alcohol, and violence may be referenced, and adult language will be used, know that it will always be used to stress the point made in my work.
My goal has always been, and will always be, to express the realistic; to grasp it, name it, and look at it for what it is.So please don't let this "warning" mislead you and redirect you away from my site. Think of it as my way of expressing myself, while still respecting the idea of what is appropriate and what is not.
Happy Reading! http://www.4everlyrical.blogspot.com
And remember: When real, raw, emotion becomes too mush for sensitive ears, sugar coated truths are the masks we wear.
Peace.
