When we were figuring out where and when to meet, there were a few things to keep in mind. I know it goes against tradition -or whatever- but when it comes to a first date, I like to drive myself and the meet him at the destination. Maybe it's a control issue, but I don't want to be stuck. Also, I met this guy online. I may be a hopeless romantic, but I'm not irresponsible.
I walked into the bar before he got there and actually ran into a couple of friends. After talking for a minute I mentioned that I had to go wait for my date. One friend asked "A blind date?" It was an interesting question. While I wasn't being randomly set up by a friend or anything like that, I had, in all reality, never met the guy face-to-face. But at the same time, we had been communicating with each other for the past two weeks. I felt like I knew him to a certain extent. So I'm still not sure if online-organized dates are blind dates or not. What do you think?
When he showed up we played a game of pool and I realized that we both misinterpreted each other's pool skills. My "I'm not completely horrible" was absolutely not match for his "I'm not that good."
The evening went on wonderfully. The weather was even cooperative! All around, probably the best first date I've ever been on.
Thanks for reading!
I hope your New Years is continuing to be everything you wanted it to be :)
Peace.

PS. Since I'm done with school for the moment, my goal is to post at least one entry a week. Don't worry, they wont be all on this subject. But I love to write and whether I have an audience or not, it feels really good to have stuff written down again.
